45 years of expertise in LNG

Énergir sells liquefied natural gas (LNG) through its subsidiary Gaz Métro LNG. Liquefied natural gas comes from Énergir's liquefaction, storage and regasification (LSR) plant in Montreal East. This plant, which has been operating for 45 years, can produce more than 9 billion cubic feet/year.

Production of more 9 billion
cubic feet per year

The plant has a loading dock that is used to supply tanker trucks which, in turn, supply refueling stations for factories and transport companies. With our production of 9 billion cubic feet per year, we are among the largest terminals in North America.

A team of experts

The production and delivery of our LNG are ensured by a team of seasoned experts working in an ISO 14001 certified environment. Since 2011, more than 5,500 tank truck loadings and deliveries of LNG have been carried out by our team.

The plant has a loading dock that is used to supply tanker trucks which, in turn, supply refueling stations for factories and transport companies. The LNG can then be distributed within a radius of more than 1,500 kilometers covering Eastern Canada, Nord-Du-Québec and the Northeastern United States.

LNG used in a number of sectors

LNG allows companies to meet a variety of energy needs, at industrial facilities not served by the Énergir network, for road, maritime and rail transportation, at mining sites, and so on.

Gas distribution

Thanks to our business model, North American gas distributors can count on a reliable supply of local LNG, at a stable and competitive price.

Mining industry

Thanks to LNG, mines located outside the gas network can now benefit from the economic and environmental advantages of natural gas. Access a cleaner and more economical source of energy than fuel oil to increase your competitiveness.
